This is my very first blog for OMS, so I wanted to start with a product that has literally changed my beauty routine for ever.
First, I want to give you a little background on my lash journey before I decided to try Revitalash.
From about 2010 when we introduced lash extensions as a treatment to OMS I was a complete addict. From the first time I had them on I instantly felt more feminine, confident & had less getting ready to do in the morning, so it was a win, win for me. I literally could not live without them! I had regular refills; I followed all the aftercare advice (about 80% of the time) to ensure my natural lashes whereas healthy as possible. But, let’s face it wearing lashes extensions for the best part of 10 years was not going to leave my natural lashes in good health no matter how good I followed aftercare instructions. My partner had never even seen my natural lashes until March 2020.
We here at OMS, like most business, had to close our doors in March 2020 for the first lockdown, as you can imagine a lash refill was the last thing on my mind. This is when through no choice of my own I had to watch every last lash extension grow out over a course of about 6-8 weeks. My new baldly eyes were now on full display, thankfully only to my partner and daughter.
My lashes were extremely short, brittle, ashy in colour and so, so dry. I thought now is the time to try a lash serum.
I looked at a few other brands but decided even though Revitalash was the more expensive range I believed in the research and story behind it.
The Boring bit
Basically, from my research, there are only 3 proven ingredients that will actually make your lashes grow. Yes, the other ingredients will make them healthier, stronger and therefore appear longer looking but for actual lash growth, you need a Prostaglandin-derived eyelash serum. Which will include one of the following.
- isopropyl cloprostenate
- isopropyl phenylhydroxypentene dihydroxycyclopentylheptenate
- dechloro dihydroxy difluoro ethylcloprostenolamide.
Revitalash Advanced has Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide (DDDE). DDDE is a prostaglandin analogue this will give you lash growth. Other ingredients include peptides, lipids, Biotin, complex, ginseng & Swertia japonica which are antioxidant’s, saw palmetto, amino acids and b vitamins. These all contribute to healthy, conditioned, flexible lashes which enhances the appearance and protects against breakage, while improving health, flexibility and strength, for lashes that thrive, naturally.
Revitalash was first established in 2006. It is a leading physician led, award-winning line of lash and brow products. Ophthalmologist Michael Brinkenhoff developed the first original lash serum to help his beloved wife Gayle feel beautiful during her courageous fight against breast cancer. That first original product has helped him build the entire Revitalash collection.
Revitalash also supports Breast cancer awareness, research and education initiatives all year not just in October. This can be seen with their eternally pink pledge.

The best bit
In June I started using Revitalash Advanced Lash conditioner at £125:
This is 3.5ml up to a 6month supply (You can also get a 2ml up to 3 months supply for £89). Yes, this seems pricey for such a small product but believe me it was worth every penny.
I followed instructions and made sure my lashes were clean and free from any oily residue, I applied the product every evening. A thin layer, just above the lash line. It makes sense not to cover the full lash and waste it on the tips as the lashes need the product from the root. I let it dry and generally didn’t add any further beauty products as I was in Lockdown, so it was a fresh face every day.
It took about 3 weeks before I noticed a slight difference. They definitely looked darker and slightly longer. I was very excited now and protective over my lashes. I didn’t use the lash curler once. This had become a slight addiction from March to help enhance my little stomps but now I was seeing an improvement I didn’t want anything interfering with it.
Mid July my lashes had grown longer than I ever remembered, they were strong, flexible (even curlier I would say) and darker which I didn’t think was possible.
I now know Revitalash works first-hand. This is a staple part of my daily beauty routine. I wouldn’t say I would never get lash extensions on again, but I actually don’t think I need them now, whereas before I did. I’m confident with the lashes I have, more than confident actually I love my lashes now. The only downside is when I put mascara on they are that long it goes on my skin, but I can live with that.
